Help us unlock the next chapter
of Pacific War history

Your donation will help us build our new library and research centre

The South Pacific WWII Museum is entering an exciting new phase of development — and we invite you to be part of it.

Thanks to the generous support of the Swire Group Charitable Trust, the Museum has been offered USD $22,000 in matched funding to help expand our facilities.

But there is one important condition.

We must raise USD $22,000 ourselves in order to unlock Swire’s contribution.

If we reach that goal, the combined funding will allow us to create a dedicated Library and Research Centre, expand our collections storage, and develop new exhibit display areas within the Museum. This will transform how we preserve and share the history of Espiritu Santo’s remarkable role in the Second World War.

What the new space will enable

The Library and Research Centre will:

• Provide researchers and historians with access to rare material relating to the Pacific War
• Preserve documents, photographs, and artefacts connected with Espiritu Santo’s wartime history
• Support visiting scholars, students and authors
• Allow the Museum to expand the stories we share with the thousands of visitors who come to Santo each year

Why it matters

During World War II, Espiritu Santo became one of the most important Allied bases in the Pacific. Ships, aircraft, troops and supplies flowed through Santo on their way to major campaigns across the region. The stories connected with this island continue to fascinate historians, divers, veterans’ families and visitors from around the world.

The South Pacific WWII Museum exists to preserve and share those stories. The new Library and Research Centre will ensure they remain accessible for future generations.

Every donation — large or small — brings us closer to unlocking the full $44,000 project fund. Together we can take the next important step in the development of the South Pacific WWII Museum.

All payments are handled through PayPal and are made to the Elwood J Euart Association. The not for profit organisation behind the South Pacific WWII Museum.
